BMS / BPCM Restore

Battery Management System (BMS) / Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) is the unit responsible for the management of critical features such as voltage, temperature and current monitoring, battery State Of Charge (SOC) and cell balancing of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery’s.

When this unit detects some anomaly with battery, like under voltage cell capacity it triggers a safe mode/limp mode that stops the car from starting and battery charging event.

Even when the battery is changed, this unit keeps raising the problem which causes you to replace the unit from the manufacturer.

In this situation we can restore the BMS/BPCM units, without needing to replace for a new one.

At the moment we are beta testing the Smart 451 with the Bosch BMS controller.

Battery cells/pack need to be fixed or replaced and also charged/balanced before we restore the BMS/BPCM.
